The Introduction to Decimal Symbol Cards includes a compact open wooden box containing: 1 green card labeled 1 (Unit), 1 blue card labeled 10 (Ten), 1 red card labeled 100 (Hundred), 1 green card labeled 1000 (Thousand). This material introduces children to numerical symbols of the decimal system, helping them visually associate quantities with place values. It helps children recognize numerical symbols for units, tens, hundreds, and thousands, understand place value structure in the decimal system, visually match quantities with their corresponding symbols and build foundational knowledge for operations and number composition.
